Our Purpose

Why This Campaign Exists

Too often, development happens without meaningful community input.
You Said, We Heard is about changing that.

Listen First

Not assume — we start by hearing what matters to you.

Capture Real Needs

Your priorities and concerns drive the conversation.

Transparent Process

Every step of planning stays open and visible.

Reflect the People

Future development should mirror who lives here.

Focus Areas

The Two Focus Sites

Two key locations in North Baton Rouge that could transform the community.

📍 Scenic Highway — Open 6-Acre Tract

This is a vacant 6-acre site located immediately adjacent to the Cadence Apartments corridor. Because of its size and visibility, this site has the potential to significantly impact the surrounding neighborhood. We are seeking community input on what types of uses, amenities, or services would best support residents and the broader area.

📍 Plank Road & Choctaw Drive

This site sits at a well-known intersection and serves as a daily touchpoint for the surrounding community. Your insight will help determine what type of development would best serve local needs while strengthening the corridor.

Your Input

What We Want to Hear From You

We’re asking for your honest input. There are no right or wrong answers — your perspective matters.

What is missing in these areas?

What do residents need more of?

What should be avoided?

What would improve quality of life here?

What would you like to see for the future of this community?
